Valley High School Spring Musical - April 16th - 19th
The Valley High School Drama Club is excited to invite our school community, families, and friends to our annual Spring Musical, The 25th Annual Putman County Spelling Bee! Join us as we transform our beautiful new auditorium into a fun, fast-paced, and heartfelt musical. Our students and staff have been working so hard to put on a great show. We hope you will join us in celebrating the dedication and talent of our actors.

Valley High School Prom - Friday, May 8, 2026
Valley High School is pleased to announce that the annual Prom, “A Night Under The Stars”, will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at the Springwood Manor located in Verona, Pennsylvania. This highly anticipated event will offer students a memorable evening of celebration and camaraderie in a beautiful setting.
Tickets for the Prom will be available for purchase from April 7th through April 30th. Take advantage of our Early Bird special: tickets bought between April 7th and April 10th are priced at $80 per person. After this period, tickets purchased from April 13th to April 30th will be $85 per person.
Students may purchase tickets in person at the Valley Junior Senior High School Library during Homeroom (before 7:55 a.m.) as well as during all lunch periods.
Online students can purchase tickets between 9:00 a.m. and noon. Please reach out via email to Ms. Ammon at [email protected] to make arrangements for ticket purchase.

NKASD General School Board Meeting - Tuesday, April 14, 2026
The General School Board Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District will be held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the virtual meeting will be available on the NKASD Website the day of the meeting. This meeting is open to the public.

Junior Jumpstart Financial Aid Seminar - Monday, March 30th
State Representative Jill Cooper invites you to Junior Jumpstart, a financial aid seminar with PHEAA on Monday, March 30th, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m. at the Northern Westmoreland CTC, 705 Stevenson Boulevard, New Kensington. This financial aid seminar with the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency is designed to help next year’s high school seniors begin navigating the world of college financing.
