Dear Parents and Community Residents:
As the new Superintendent of the New Kensington-Arnold School District, it is a great honor for me to be able to work with your children. The Board of School Directors, administration and staff of our school district hope to work closely with you. We will empower each of our students to reach their individual potential, learn to respect themselves and others, and to become lifelong learners.
Children should be placed first as we make decisions. With this in mind our Board of School Directors set some goals for our school district. These goals are designed to help all of us to have high expectations for our students and staff.
PACE=A - The five goals of the New Kensington-Arnold School District are:
Planning - Develop a comprehensive strategic plan
Accountability- Create a comprehensive evaluation process for staff and an assessment process for student achievement
Communication - Develop clear lines of communication among all district stakeholder groups
Engagement- Promote the strengths of the district and facilitate community interaction
Achievement - Strive for academic and extra curricular achievement of all students
As your superintendent of schools, it is my privilege to help to guide our school district in our efforts to produce positive outcomes for each of these goals. If we communicate with each other and work closely together to place the needs of our students first we will soon become one of the best school districts in the State of Pennsylvania.
I invite you to visit our schools and to see firsthand the positive learning environment that we are creating. Improved academic achievement and positive recognition of our children's accomplishments will become the hallmark of the New Kensington-Arnold School District now and in the future.
