Holiday Early Dismissal - Friday, December 19, 2025

On Friday, December 19, 2025, the New Kensington-Arnold School District will be having an early release of students for the holiday vacation. Listed below are the release times for students in each building.

Valley Junior/Senior High School - 12:25 p.m.

Roy A. Hunt Elementary School - 1:05 p.m.

H.D. Berkey Elementary School - 1:30 p.m.

Martin Elementary School - 1:30 p.m.

NKASD School Board Meeting - Rescheduled to December 17, 2025

The General Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District that was scheduled for Tuesday, December 9, 2025 has been rescheduled to Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, New Kensington, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. Information for joining the Teams Meeting will be available the day of the meeting.

NKASD Reorganization School Board Meeting - Wednesday, December 3, 2025

The Reorganization Meeting of the New Kensington-Arnold School District will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Room at VJSHS, 703 Stevenson Boulevard, and also virtually via Microsoft Teams. 2026 NKASD Distinguished Alumni Award Nominations

The New Kensington-Arnold School District is seeking nominations for its Distinguished Alumni Award for the class of 2026. Appropriately nominated alumni will represent the best of the communities of Arnold and New
Kensington. They are role models for our students to look up to and a source of great pride for the school district. Consideration will be given to candidates that have made outstanding contributions in, but not limited to, the areas of athletics, business, education, journalism, law, manufacturing, medicine, performing arts, public service, science, and the trades.
